REPUBLICAN FUNDRAISERS, OPERATIVES AND PLAYERS

1.) Jack Abramoff - Abramoff, a Bush Pioneer and Republican lobbyist, pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud in connection with Suncruz casino boats in January 2006. He also pleaded guilty to two additional fraud counts and tax evasion in connection with lobbying for Native American tribes in 2006.

2.) Alan Fabian - Fabian was the co-chair of Mitt Romney's national finance committee and a prominent Republican donor who gave 100,000+ to the RNC and the Bush inauguration. In August 2007 he was indicted for allegedly making $32 million in false purchases of computer equipment to pay for his lavish spending habits.

3.) Kyle "Dusty" Foggo - Foggo, the former 3 official at the CIA, was indicted by a Grand Jury on corruption charges in connection with his campaign contributions to Republican members of Congress and resulting federal contracts.

4.) Robert Kjellander - Kjellander, a Bush Pioneer and RNC treasurer, was subpoenaed by federal prosecutors in August 2005 as part of a probe investigating corruption at the Illinois Teacher's Retirement Systems, a state run teacher's pension fund. The subpoena specifically sought records relating to Kjellander's receipt of $4.5 million in fees from the Carlyle group, for helping to land the business with the pension fund.

5.) Bernie Kerik - "Federal prosecutors in New York have informed Kerik that he is a 'target' of a criminal investigation into possible tax problems, illegal wiretapping and making false statements in an FBI questionnaire connected to Kerik's nomination." In addition, a Daily News"investigation revealed that Kerik accepted cash and gifts from Interstate Industrial, an allegedly mobbed-up construction company."

6.) Michael Mixon - Mixon, a major NRCC donor, was indicted on charges of fraud and funding terrorism.

7.) Thomas Noe - Noe, a Bush Pioneer, pleaded guilty in May 2006 on charges of money laundering in connection to his political fundraising. He was also the key figure in the Ohio "Coingate" scandal.

8.) Ralph Reed - Reed, a Bush Pioneer (2000), Ranger (2004) and prominent Republican lobbyist, is being investigated because of a $4 million payment that Abramoff made to Reed.

9.) James Tobin - Former NRCC, RNC and Bush-Cheney '04 staffer was convicted in December 2005 for his role in a plot to stop people from voting in New Hampshire in 2002.

10.) Brent Wilkes - Wilkes, George W. Bush's finance co-chairman in California, was indicted in February 2007 by a Grand Jury on corruption charges in connection with his campaign contributions to Republican members of Congress and resulting federal contracts.

11.) Sam Wyly, Charles Wyly - The Wylys, top Bush fundraisers from Texas, are under investigation for tax evasion by federal and state agencies. The Billionaire Bush patrons are accused of setting up offshore trusts on the Island of Man, a noted tax shelter in the Irish Sea, in an attempt to evade paying taxes on stock options.

REPUBLICAN SENATE

12.) Conrad Burns - Former Sen. Burns was the largest recipient of Abramoff-related money in the U.S. Senate, and made calls urging the Department of Interior to award federal grants to an Abramoff client. That effort failed and Burns later inserted an earmark directing the grant in an appropriations bill.

13.) Larry Craig - Sen. Craig pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in incident where police report documented conduct in a Minneapolis airport restroom. Craig also returned $43,500 in campaign contributions received from Brent Wilkes and his business associates after an Idaho repored that he sponsored an amendment to earmark a $3 million contract to Wilkes' company.

14.) Pete Domenici - In April 2007, the Senate confirmed that the Senate Ethics Committee was investigating Sen. Domenici's role in phone calls he made about ongoing investigations into Democratic officials shortly before the 2006 election.

15.) Bill Frist - The Securities and Exchange Commission in investigating whether Frist, the former Senate Majority Leader engaged in insider trading, selling off holdings in HCA immediately before its value plummeted. Frist maintained that his holdings were in a blind trust, but the Senate frequently provided Frist with information on his holdings and Frist directed the sale of the stock. At the time of the sale, Frist's brother was on HCA's Board of Directors.

16.) Mel Martinez - A FEC audit found the Martinez campaign failed to properly disclose $162,000 in contributions.

17.) Lisa Murkowski - A complaint filed with Senate Ethics Committee alleges that Sen. Murkowski received property from an Alaska real estate developer at a price well below market value.

18.) Ted Stevens - Sen. Stevens home in Alaska was raided in July 2007 by the FBI and IRS looking for evidence in connection with an investigation of a remodeling project conducted by VECO.

19.) David Vitter - Sen. Vitter acknowledged committing a "very serious sin" after his number appeared five times in the records of what federal authorities say was a Washington call-girl operation

REPUBLICAN HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

20.) Ken Calvert - A Grand Jury issued a report which said that Rep. Calvert received an illegal no-bid contract for sale of 4 acres of public land in California.

21.) Tom DeLay - Former Rep. DeLay resigned from Congress after being admonished by the ethics four times, being indicted for money laundering in Texas, and revelations showing numerous controversial ties to Jack Abramoff.

22.) John Doolittle - In April 2007, the FBI raided Rep. Doolittle's home in its investigation into ties between Doolittle and Jack Abramoff.

23.) Tom Feeney - The U.S. House said that Rep. Feeney violated House rules by accepting a trip to Scotland. Feeney was required to pay the cost of the trip to the Treasury. He was later questioned by the FBI in the investigation into lobbying activities of Jack Abramoff.

24.) Mark Foley - Former Rep. Foley resigned in September 2006 after the FBI and House Ethics Committee opened investigations into allegations that he sent suggestive emails and instant messages to teenaged current and former House pages.

25.) Katherine Harris - Former Rep. Harris accepted $32,000 in illegal contributions from MZM Inc.'s President Mitchell Wade. She then requested tens of millions in earmarks that would benefit Wade. Wade later pleaded guilty to making illegal campaign contributions, in addition to conspiracy, corruption and election fraud. Harris maintained that she did not know the contributions were illegal and lost her race for Senate in 2006.

26.) Patrick McHenry - A campaign worker for Rep. McHenry has been indicted for voter fraud in North Carolina.

27.) Gary Miller - The FBI is investgating land deals in which Rep. Miller made an estimated $10 million.

28.) Bob Ney - Former Rep. Ney was sentenced to 30 months in prison for corruption after pleading guilty to conspiracy and filing false financial disclosures.

29.) Rick Renzi -In April 2007, the FBI raided an insurance company tied to Rep. Renzi. As a result of the raid, Renzi resigned from the House Intelligence Committee.

30.) Don Sherwood - In September 2004, Washington, D.C. police responded to a 911 call placed by Cynthia Ore, 29, who said she had locked herself in the bathroom of Rep. Sherwood's apartment after he began choking her while giving her a back rub. Ms. Ore later filed a lawsuit alleging Rep. Sherwood "repeatedly and violently physically assaulted and abused" her during a five-year affair that ended in September 2004.

31.) Don Young - Federal officials are investigating a number of allegations against Young, including his ties to Veco, an Alaska company whos CEO pleaded guilty to bribery, as well as contributions connected to a Florida highway and a transportation measure benefiting a Wisconsin trucking company.

32.) Curt Weldon - In September 2006, the FBI raided the homes of Rep. Curt Weldon's daughter and one of his closest political supporters as part of an investigation into whether the veteran Republican congressman used his influence to benefit himself and his daughter's lobbying firm, according to sources familiar with the investigation.

BUSH ADMINISTRATION

33.) Claude Allen - "Allen, who had been Bush's domestic policy adviser, pleaded guilty to theft in making phony returns at discount department stores while working at the White House. He was sentenced to two years of supervised probation and fined $500."

34.) Robert E. Coughlin II - Coughlin, resigned as deputy chief of staff in the Criminal Division of the Justice Department after "a federal task force investigating the activities of disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff," began probing whether Coughlin traded favors with an Abramoff colleague.

35.) Lurita Doan - Doan, head of the General Services Administration, attended a luncheon at the agency earlier this year with other top GSA political appointees at which Scott Jennings, a top Rove aide, gave a PowerPoint demonstration on how to help Republican candidates in 2008. A congressional committee is investigating whether the remarks violated a federal law that restricts executive-branch employees from using their positions for political purposes."

36.) Brian Doyle - Brian Doyle "pleaded no contest to sending sexually explicit Internet messages to someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl. Doyle was sentenced earlier this month to five years in prison."

37.) Frank Figueroa - "Figueroa, the former head of the Tampa office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, pleaded no contest to charges of exposure of sexual organs and disorderly conduct. He was accused of exposing himself in front of a teenage girl at an Orlando mall."

38.) Alberto Gonzales - Gonzales, who resigned as Attorney General, is under investigation by the Justice Department inspector general over whether he "gave false or misleading testimony to Congress, including whether he lied under oath about warrantless surveillance and the firings of nine U.S. attorneys."

39.) Steven Griles - Pleaded guilty to lying to a Senate committee in a hearing into the Abramoff scandal.

40.) Eric Keroack - Keroack, Bush's choice to oversee the federal family planning program, resigned from the post suddenly last month after the Massachusetts Medicaid office launched an investigation into his private practice.

41.) Donald W. Keyser - Keyser was sentenced to a year in prison for "mishandling classified documents and concealing his relationship with a female intelligence officer from Taiwan." Keyser "had been the second-ranking official in the State Department's Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs before retiring in 2004.

42.) Scooter Libby - Convicted of obstruction of justice and perjury in connection with the CIA leak investigation.

43.) Julie MacDonald - MacDonald, a deputy assistant secretary at the Interior Department resigned "about a week before a House committee was set to hold hearings on political interference with biologists," and "a month after the department's inspector general issued a stinging report that said she violated federal rules by giving industry lobbyists internal agency documents and rode roughshod over agency scientists."

44.) Susan Ralston - A top aide to White House strategist Karl Rove "resigned after disclosures that she accepted gifts and passed information to now-convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

45.) David Safavian - Safavian, the former chief of staff for the General Services Administration, was sentenced to 18 months in prison on "obstruction and concealment charges for lying to investigators about his relationship with [Jack] Abramoff."

46.) Robert T. Schofield - Schofield "pleaded guilty to accepting at least $600,000 in bribes to provide fraudulent citizenship documents to hundreds of Asian immigrants."

47.) Tom Scully - Scully "was the front man for the Medicare and Medicaid programs through December 2003," before he resigned from CMS after allegedly withholding data from congress on the cost of the new Medicare law. Federal investigators said Scully should repay seven months of his salary for the violation.

48.) Theresa Shaw - Shaw stepped down amid "growing criticism that the agency has been lax in overseeing the government's $68 billion student-loan program." "The department's inspector general, John Higgens, is looking into possible conflicts of interest involving department employees and lenders. The inquiry follows an investigation by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo that has unearthed widespread payments by lenders to schools and aid officials responsible for referring students to lenders.

49.) Roger Stillwell - "Stillwell, a former Interior Department official, was sentenced to two years on probation in January after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge for not reporting hundreds of dollars worth of sports and concert tickets he received from Abramoff."

50.) Randall Tobias - Tobias resigned after a madam facing federal prostitution charges named Tobias as a client of an escort business that specialized in "sexual fantasy."

51.) Mark Dennis Zachares - Zachares pleaded guilty "to conspiracy to defraud the public by steering potential clients and inside government information to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff in return for cash, gifts and the promise of a high-paying job on K Street." Zachares "admitted to prosecutors that he accepted more than $30,000 in tickets to 40 sporting events, a luxury golf trip to Scotland and $10,000 in cash from Abramoff and his lobbying team. He acknowledged providing them with information about the reorganization of the Homeland Security Department, federal disaster and highway aid, and maritime issues."

WHEN DISCLOSURE SERVES SECRECY

Ending the secrecy surrounding the UFO/ET subject is a laudable goal. It
is long overdue. It would transform the world in ways both simple and
profound.

And yet it is fraught with danger.

The covert projects which have been running UFO related programs for
nearly 60 years are not interested in a disclosure which upsets their
apple cart. They want such a disclosure to transform their apple cart
into a freight train. And they potentially have the power and
connections to do it.

There are multiple scenarios attending the disclosure of the UFO
subject-and not all of them have the best interests of humanity at
heart. Elsewhere, in the new book â?~Extraterrestrial Contact: The
Evidence and Implications' I write about the kind of disclosure the
world needs. An honest one. An open one. One which replaces secrecy with
democracy. A disclosure which is peaceful, scientific and hopeful.

But then there is the disclosure the powers that be would like to see:
Manipulated. Calculated to consolidate power and engender fear.
Configured in such a way that chaos and a deepening need for Big Brother
is carefully inculcated into the masses.

We have seen the plans and it is not a pretty picture.

I write this as a warning. A warning that the wolves in sheep clothes
are very cunning indeed. And have almost limitless resources. Most who
work with them do not even know they are wolves. Indeed, it is likely
that many of the wolves have been convinced that they are sheep.

The UFO matter is not so much a mystery as a matter deliberately
obfuscated and mystified. Confusion and a lack of clarity serves the
larger covert goal of keeping it off the long- range radar of society
while power and plans are consolidated quietly. And the one thing!
more
dangerous to society than all this secrecy is a planned, contrived
disclosure run by the keepers of the secrets.

For years such plans have been made - to be unfurled at just the right
time. During a time of great expectation. Of social confusion. Perhaps
of millennial madness?

I have personally met with a number of people who are very involved with
such plans. I do not speculate here. Be aware: The disclosure of UFO
reality is being planned very carefully. It will assiduously follow a
scheme to spin the subject in just the right way - the only way which
will further redound to the glory and power of the secret-keepers. It
will be a false disclosure - one born out of the age-old bane of human
existence: selfishness and greed. Greed for power. Greed for control.
Greed for domination.

We must be mature and informed on such matters. Only a vigilant and
informed public can see through such deceit - and correct it should such
a plan be unfurled. Every citizen needs to know that great good can come
from the truth being known. But the mature citizen must also recognize
that the â?~truth' can be spun and spun again - until the goals of those
who crave secret and overt power are met.

Consider: One scenario for disclosure is that the UFO and
Extraterrestrial subject is acknowledged in a way which is scientific
and hopeful. Excessive secrecy which lacks executive branch and
congressional oversight is ended. Humanity begins to entertain open
contact with other civilizations, with peaceful engagement as the goal.
Technologies which are currently suppressed are allowed to be
disseminated: Pollution ends. An economy of abundance and social justice
is firmly established. Global environmental destruction and mind-numbing
world poverty become a faint memory. Zero-point based energy devices
transform the world. Electro-gravitic devices permit above ground travel
without paving over the world's precious fertile farm !
land. As an ET
once told Colonel Philip Corso, " Its a new world, if you can take
it...". This is the disclosure which we are working for.

But the disclosure envisioned above could have happened in 1950. It did
not - Why? For such a disclosure would lead to the total transformation
of the status quo. Centralized energy systems would be obsolete. Oil
would be useful only for lubricants and synthetics. The geo-political
order of today would be a thing forgotten: Every country and people on
Earth would have such a high degree of progress and advancement that all
nations would have a seat at the global table. Power would need to be
shared. Peaceful acknowledgment of life from elsewhere would make the
Earth seem like the very small, organic homeland which it is. The vast
trillion dollar global military - industrial sector would be reigned in.
And a universal spirituality might dawn...

But remember, there are hugely powerful interests who dread this
scenario. For them, it is the end of the world as they know it. The end
of centralized, elite power. The end of a controlled geo-political order
which today leaves nearly 90% of the people of Earth barely one step out
of the stone age. And they do not wish to share the power they wield.

Now, let me describe the â?~disclosure' which would make these covert
control programs happy. This is the false or contrived â?~disclosure'
which has only one clear goal: The further consolidation of their power
and their paradigm. It has to do with fear, not love. With war, not
peace. With division and conflict, not unity. It is the dominant
paradigm - but it is slipping away slowly. And a carefully orchestrated
disclosure of the â?~facts' of the UFO and ET subject could secure their
power. This is the disclosure which is to be dreaded. This is the
disclosure to watch out for. This is the disclosure which is already
occurring.

t operatives who have worked
on UFO related programs have introduced me to some characters right out
of a spy novel - and then some. Whether in private high tech industry,
at the Pentagon or at a midnight meeting in a private mansion, a theme
has emerged. It is one of immense, though currently hidden, power. It
transcends government as we know it (at this point the government of â?~We
the people...' has been made irrelevant on this issue). And the theme
has two main strands - the eventual covert militarization of the ET
subject and a weird covert religious strain which can only be viewed as
bizarre.

Here, we find some very strange bed-fellows indeed. War mongers and
militarists in cahoots with industrialists who share a certain bizarre
eschatological bent: A dark view of the future, featuring an
extraterrestrial Armageddon - or at least the threat of it. Such a theme
supports retrograde and fanatical religious causes as well as deeply
covert military-industrial plans to expand the arms race into space.

In fact, the big players in the so-called â?~civilian UFO community' are
tied into such beliefs and agendas. It strains credulity, I admit, but
here is what we have found by penetrating these operations.

From a military-industrial perspective, the disclosure of choice is one
which frames the UFO/ET issue in a threatening manner. If a threat from
space can be established (as President Reagan liked to say) then the
entire world can be united around the need to fight such a threat. This
would ensure trillion dollar plus military - industrial spending well
into the next century, and beyond. If you think the cold war was costly,
wait until you see the price tag for this â?~protection' from the
â?~threats' in space: The trillions spent on the cold war will look like a
blue light special.

Retrograde and fanatical religious groups, similarly, have great vested
interests in fulfilling the promise o!
f Armageddon. An eschatological
paradigm, well enshrined in the belief systems of those running covert
UFO projects, is supported by the portrayal of a cosmic conflict in the
heavens. Voila! We have the necessity of spinning the UFO/ET issue in
the evil invading aliens (translates in religious terms as demons)
direction. Indeed, this has already been accomplished, courtesy of the
â?~civilian UFO community' and the tabloid media (which at this point is
virtually all media...).

Additionally, there is a subtext which can only be viewed as thinly
veiled racism. You will note that part of the â?~new myth' regarding UFOs
involves the â?~good ET s' , which invariably are described as â?~Pleidians'
who are â?~handsome' white, blue-eyed Aryan appearing types. Naturally,
those â?~evil, bad ET s' are darker, shorter, look funny and smell funny.
Please. Such clap-trap would have us trade age-old human racism for an
extraterrestrial variety. This nonsense and propaganda could only make
Hitler proud.

In one lengthy meeting with a multi-billionaire, I was told that he gave
great support to UFO activities which propel the so-called â?~alien
abduction' subject into public awareness because he wanted humanity to
unite around fighting this â?~alien threat'. Later, this very influential
figure informed me that he believed these demonic ET s were the cause of
every set back in human history since Adam and Eve. Sound familiar?

Military interests, which are heavily involved in covert projects which
hoax ET events, such as human military- related abductions, have a
shared goal of demonizing the UFO/ET phenomenon. Doing so lays the
foundations for the fear and dread necessary for an organized opposition
to all things ET. And this subserves the long - term need to provide a
rationale for an expanding global military even should world peace
emerge. In fact, under this scenario, â?~world pe!
ace', or strictly
speaking peace on Earth, could be secured by the world uniting,
eventually, against the â?~threat from space' referred to by President
Reagan. (By the way, personally I believe Reagan was the victim of
disinformation spe#####ts who surrounded him and who manipulated him
into the statements he made on this subject.)

Under this scenario, currently being gamed and 'disclosed' courtesy of
the trial - balloon UFO â?~community', we would get peace on Earth - in
exchange for inter-planetary conflict. One step forward, ten steps back.
Wonderful.

Such a false and contrived â?~disclosure of the truth' regarding UFOs and
ET's would, then, subserve agendas held by powerful covert interests in
both the military - industrial sector and those of a strange collection
of religious fanatics, who pine for Armageddon - and the sooner the better.

Lest the reader think such a strange amalgam of militarists and
cult-like religious interests are unlikely, remember the weird views of
the Third Reich. Or more recently, the views of one US Department of the
Interior cabinet secretary during the Reagan years named James Watt. It
was he who, not knowing a microphone was still on and recording his
comments, stated in the 1980s that we did not need to worry about all
these environmental problems since Armageddon was coming soon and the
world would be destroyed anyway... This bizarre view, held by a man who
shaped and applied policy for the Interior Department of the US
Government, was later reported in the general media. At the time a
comical footnote perhaps. But what does it say about the degree to which
such beliefs may be shaping covert UFO policy - and specifically
disclosure plans? We have found that such views - bizarre as they may
seem to most - are heavily represented in covert policy development on
the UFO subject.

And most disconcerting of all: This strange mixture of military cosmic
saber-r!
attling and bizarre religious beliefs are the dominant forces
shaping both the â?~civilian UFO community' and the planned eventual
â?~spin' on UFO disclosure. Let the buyer beware.

To the rational and intellectual, such views seem ridiculous. Why, you
might ask, would anyone want a cosmic war in space, an Armageddon and
the destruction of the Earth? To comprehend this, you have to get inside
the head of people who hold such beliefs - people like James Watt. In
his case, why worry about a little bit of deforestation, air pollution
and areas of dead oceans if the entire world is going to be destroyed in
a couple of years anyway?

But the thinking goes further than this. Because such fanatical thinking
has within it the concept that as a result of the Armageddon we will see
the return of Christ- and with it the good people's salvation. Now,
people are free to believe what they want. But what we have found is a
deliberate influencing of covert policy on UFOs by such beliefs. Some of
these people want Armageddon - and they want it ASAP.

Strictly speaking, the militarists and war-mongers, itching to â?~kick
some alien butt' as it was said in the movie Independence Day, may
actually only want a pretext to justify their existence and get the
world to eventually spend huge sums of money on a perceived (if
contrived) threat from space.

But in some cases - high up on the food chain of the covert entity
running UFO secrecy - the two views meet. A place where militarism and
eschatology merge. Where Star Wars and Armageddon join.

In tracing the history of both the UFO civilian community and the covert
policy-making group concerned with UFOs, we have found a growing
penetration of the latter into the former. So much so that at this point
there are projects which ostensibly are innocent civilian initiatives
but which in reality are totally controlled and financed by â?~cut-outs'
from ultra-secret proje!

Moreover, our careful penetration of such projects yielded the
disturbing finding that deep-cover black project operatives are working
closely with alleged civilian researchers, journalists and UFO
glitterati. CIA and military intelligence operatives are working with
civilian â?~think tank' heads, alongside very wealthy business people who
are eschatologists, and being advised by â?~civilian' technologists and
scientists - who are themselves proponents of bizarre religious belief
systems involving the end of the world -- and ETs....

Thus, the new â?~chosen ones' have been assembled. They are planning your
disclosure on the UFO/ET subject. They are owned by the money whores and
power brokers doing the bidding of the secret entity which runs UFO
projects to begin with. And it all looks like a civilian initiative. So
innocent. So well-intended. So â?~scientific'. And by the way, the sky is
falling courtesy of ET and we need your money and your souls to defend
against it.

Do not be deceived. You need to be awake to the darker scenarios which
some would like to thrust upon the world. And you need to know that
there are alternatives. If a â?~disclosure' is unleashed on the world
which is xenophobic, militaristic and terrifying, know that it comes
from the spinmeisters of secrecy - regardless of how respectable the
person or group may appear to be.

And remember: Part of this disclosure plan involves the use of UFO
look-alike devices made by humans in an attack on Earth or military
assets of Earth. This would be a well-orchestrated use of advanced human
technologies to hoax an ET attack - all for the purpose of disclosing
the truth with the desired military-oriented spin. In such a scenario,
most of humanity will be deceived into believing the threat from space
has arrived - and that we must fight it at all costs. This is nothing
more than long-term social security for the military-in!

There must be people who can expose this fraud.

But why should we wait for these darker scenarios to be unleashed on an
unsuspecting world?

Here is another idea: Why don't â?~we the people' unite and launch a
disclosure which resembles the first one described above. An honest one.
One which leads to peace, not war. To a sustainable and beautiful world,
free of pollution and brimming with abundance, of all types. One which
reaches out into the unknown, instead of firing particle beam weapons
into the darkness of space.

A Washington, D.C., imam states explicitly on the website for his organization that he is part of a movement working toward replacement of the U.S. government with "the Islamic State of North America" by 2050.

With branches in Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento and Philadelphia, the group As-Sabiqun - or the Vanguard - is under the leadership of Abdul Alim Musa in the nation's capital.

Musa's declaration of his intention to help lead a takeover of America was highlighted by noted Islam observer Robert Spencer on his website Jihad Watch.

Spencer told WND that figures such as Musa should not be ignored, "Not because they have the power to succeed, but because they may commit acts of violence to achieve their purpose."

Musa's website declares: "Those who engage in this great effort require a high level of commitment and determination. We are sending out a call to the believers: Join with us in this great struggle to change the world!"

Musa launched the group in the early 1990s at the Al-Islam mosque in Philadelphia. His group says it is influenced by the writings and life work of Muslim thinkers and leaders such as Muslim Brotherhood founder Hasan al-Banna, Sayyid Qutb and Iranian revolutionary Ayatollah Khomenei.

The writings of Al-Banna and Qutb figured prominently in al-Qaida's formation.

Musa's organization says its leadership "has delivered numerous speeches in the United States and abroad, contributing their analyses and efforts to solve contemporary problems in the Muslim world and in urban America."

"The paramount goal of the movement is the establishment of Islam as a complete way of life in America," the group declares. "This ultimate goal is predicated on the belief - shared by many Muslims worldwide - that Islam is fully capable of producing a working and just social, political, economic order."

The groups says it does not "advocate participation in the American political process as an ideal method for advancing Islamic issues in the U.S.; instead, it believes in a strong and active outreach to the people of the U.S."

Spencer told WND he does not know of any direct influence Musa has on prominent Muslim leaders or on U.S. policymakers, but he says it's "unclear how much 'mainstream' Muslim leaders harbor similar hopes - because no one dares question them about it."

As WND reported, the founder of the leading Islamic lobby group CAIR, the Council on Islamic-American Relations, reportedly told a group of Muslims in California they are in America not to assimilate but to help assert Islam's rule over the country. CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper also has said, in a newspaper interview, he hopes to see an Islamic government over the U.S. some day, brought about not by violence but through "education."

In London last summer, as WND reported, Muslims gathered in front of the London Central Mosque to applaud fiery preachers prophesying the overthrow of the British government - a future vision that encompasses an Islamic takeover of the White House and the rule of the Quran over America.

Musa says he wants to avoid what he calls an "absolutist" outlook on "the advancement of Muslims."

His group's philosophy is to stress unity between the various streams of Islam "in the attainment of common goals."

Although As-Sabiqun is a Sunni movement, it has publicly voiced support for Shia movements and organizations such as the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran and the Iranian-backed group Hezbollah, which waged war on Israel in the summer of 2006.

Musa, the group says, repeatedly has "stressed that the tendency by some Muslims to focus on the differences between Sunni and Shia Islam at this juncture in history is counterproductive to the goals of the Islamic movement as a whole."

The group says it encourages social-political advancement concurrent with a program of spiritual and moral development according to the Quran and Sunnah, compilations of stories from the life of Islam's prophet Muhammad.

The group says it has a six-point plan of action which is implemented at each location where a branch of the movement is established.

Establishing a mosque "as a place to worship Allah in congregation and as a center of spiritual and moral training."
"Calling the general society" to embrace Islam.
Establishing a full-time school "that raises children with a strong Islamic identity so they can, as future Islamic leaders, effectively meet and deal with the challenges of growing up in the West."
Establishing businesses to "make the movement financially stable and independent."
Establishing "geographical integrity by encouraging Muslims of the community to live in close proximity" to the mosque.
Establishing "social welfare institutions to respond to the need for spiritual and material assistance within the community as well as the general society."
In addition to daily classes, each mosque in the movement "also provides youth mentorship, marriage counseling, a prison outreach program, and employment assistance for ex-convicts."

As-Sabiqun says its branch in Los Angeles "was instrumental in creating a free health clinic in cooperation with other Islamic groups. The headquarters branch in D.C. has developed scout programs for young members of the community."

The group says the inspiration for its name comes from Quran, 9:100:

"The vanguard (as-Sabiqun) of Islam - the first of those who forsook their homes, and of those who gave them aid, and also those who follow them in all good deeds - well-pleased is Allah with them, as are they with Him: For them hath He prepared Gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever: that is the supreme Felicity."
